Mayor Don Darling is pleased with the outcome of a recent trip to Toronto with his counterparts from Fredericton and Moncton.
All three mayors highlighted their growth strategies, opportunities and challenges at an event hosted by the Economic Club of Canada on April 6.
Darling says they went into the two-day event with a message that New Brunswick has tremendous opportunities.
"We have a fairly unique conversation in our recent history where we have thousands of jobs combined amongst the three major urban centres. We've got lots of great talent, but we could use even more talent."
Darling says several investors said they're either coming to New Brunswick or are interested in the province.
The mayors also joined employers from their respective cities at a newcomers job fair the next day.
Darling says he spoke to some of the Saint John employers after and they have a long list of potential new leads.
