A rally brought together union leaders and members along with seniors groups and the provincial NDP leader in a protest over the Extra-Mural program being privatized in New Brunswick.
The crowd gathered in front of Premier Brian Gallant’s office in Dieppe during the noonhour on Monday although Gallant was out of town.
Seniors advocate Cecile Cassista told the crowd that Extra-Mural is not for sale.

NDP leader Jennifer McKenzie told the crowd she wasn’t satisfied when Federal Health Minister Ginette Petitpas Taylor told her that the transfer of the Telecare and Extra-Mural Programs did not violate the Canada Health Act.
