A large financial boost for Venn Innovations Incorporated in Moncton was announced this morning.
The federal and provincial government are making a combined investment of more than $750, 000 to the company that is dedicated to assisting entrepreneurs, by building innovations across New Brunswick.
Moncton Mayor Dawn Arnold says Venn is a great community partner, .and they are making a big difference, “This is where the cool kids are hanging out, I just need to tell you that. You are encouraging and supporting those Innovators in our community and you need a space for that. That’s what you are doing right here.”
Venn Innovations Founder Roddy Awad says the money that is being received today will help them to grow as one of Canada's innovation hubs.
Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe MP Ginette Petitpas-Taylor says Venn made an application to the Atlantic Opportunities Agency for this money, and when their application was evaluated, they were successful, “They are very deserving. Venn Innovations has really built a solid reputation in Atlantic Canada. Actually it is right across Canada period, as an Innovation Hub. They are really helping small businesses to make great success. We are really proud of the work they are doing and we are really glad that we can support them.”
