There is a nice cove in the Chance Harbour area which the Nature Conservancy of Canada needs your help to conserve.
It is called Little Musquash Cove and NCC’s Paula Noel told our newsroom it is idyllic and needs to be preserved.
“It’s a beautiful, undeveloped cove with old forests, an incredible beach and salt marsh, that is, fortunately, being offered to the Nature Conservancy of Canada for conservation,” Noel said.
Noel said the landowner has offered to donate a portion of the land but they still need about $150,000 to purchase the remaining 400 acres and two kilometres of coastline.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada will be holding an open house at the Lorneville Community Centre on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. to talk about the project.
