The co-founder of one of the greatest rock bands of all time has passed away.
Malcolm Young, who had been suffering from dementia for several years, founded legendary Australian rock band AC/DC back in 1973 with his younger brother Angus.
According to a facebook post on the band’s page, Malcolm passed away peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side.
He is described as a songwriter, guitarist, performer, producer and visionary when it came to what he wanted to achieve in his life with AC/DC.
The band, famous for songs like Highway to Hell, and Thunderstruck, has played Moncton twice, in 2009 and most recently in 2015 for their Rock or Bust tour.
