Saint John’s restaurant week is here! Chop Chop has taken over the Uptown Restaurant scene.
You can taste mouthwatering dishes specially made by local chefs for a great cause. Chose from a 3 course dinner for $35, 2 course lunch for $15 and a Chop Chop plate for $12. A dollar from ever Chop Chop plate goes directly to Lunch Connection, which provides free, hot meals to local school children in vulnerable neighbourhoods.
Chef Scott Masson from the Saint John Ale House dropped by the studio to talk about their incredible menu.
Fresh vegetables were locally source up to a month ago and preserved to retain their peak freshness throughout their menu. They also chose to go with an Italian inspired menu, including a fall bruschetta with butternut squash purée, an Italian grinder sandwich with Parmesan fries, and a pumpkin gnocchi.
Masson says that each Chop Chop level has delicious vegetarian options, something the Ale House has made sure to do for the last three years during Chop Chop.
Chef Masson brought in one of the dessert options for both the 2 course lunch and 3 course dinner, a tiramisu mousse served with almond biscotti. The perfect way to end your delicious meal!
